A key to a thriving business district is a clean and well-maintained environment. Through the use of private contractors and full-time staff members, UDP provides district-wide regular and professional cleaning services.

A healthy and vibrant neighborhood must first and foremost be a safe place for all and UDP is committed to creating a safe environment in the U District for all through our programs and safety ambassadors.

UDP works with the REACH program to provide full-time outreach in the U District–building relationships with members of our community who are currently unhoused, connecting them to available services and support.
